Come One...Come All...

STEP RIGHT UP AND HAVE A BALL! A few of us moms decided to throw a carnival themed party for the kids in our congregation. The kids enjoyed face painting, bean bag toss, cake walk, aim game, ring toss, eagle eye-spy and our own version of the dunking booth- just to name a few. Many thanks to all the parents who ran booths and supplied cupcakes and favors, to Danielle for her AWESOME face painting skills, to Kara for the FANTASTIC popcorn cupcakes, to Uloma, Maury, Christy and Lynette for making an idea become a REALITY. And special thanks to my number one ACE, partner, best friend, and sanity keeper... my Nathan- thanks for your support and for being such a great husband and dad.

Dancing with DJ Lance

It's a Car Drive

Camera Ready!

We may have created a bit of a monster. We take so many pictures of the kids that now anytime Ollie notices the camera she starts yelling "CHEESE!!!" and basically attacks it.

Show the Love

Jack LOVES hugging his baby sis. We just haven't figured out yet if it's because he can put her in a headlock and get away with it...

Welcome to Our School

We have official started "school," using the Letter of the Week curriculum. We spend a week learning about things that start with the letter of the alphabet. We work on identifying the upper and lowercase by playing games, art projects, reading stories, and pointing out the letters when we are out and about. Olive even enjoys this and will point to a letter and start humming the alphabet song-so cute! We are also incorporating Chinese, ASL and a little Spanish. For instance, we play the "Hello Game," introducing ourselves to each other in English and Mandarin. When we are reviewing our colors or counting we also count in Spanish and Chinese. And the biggest treat for both  is our weekly visit to the library, where they get to pick their own books out for the week.
